FrequentlyAskedQuestions

Here you can find answers to the world's big questions.

Not really, but nevertheless, check here before bothering me.

Where is my package?

The most popular question goes on top. Normally you should have received a tracking code from DPD, UPS, ... which should tell you approximately when your order should arrive. If you didn't got that mail, or it didn't contained a code, you are probably somewhere outside of the EU zone and ordered something that can fit in a mail box. For these kind of orders I often send as a registered letter since that way I can actually send the package without loosing too much money on it, and I forgot to send you the code.

Most of the time, patience solves most logistics issues, however if you feel something is not going as it should, let me know and I'll look into it and solve the issue.

My module is broken, can it be repaired?

Sure we repair our modules. If under warranty and it breaks under normal usage I will repair the module or replace (whatever is appropriate) free of charge, you know, typical warranty stuff. Damage due to user error will be charged (eg, you drove over it with a truck). A full schematic is mostly available or can be made available on request, so any capable technician can repair a module when it fails, even if that’s 50 years from now and I’m long gone.

My DIY build failed, can you help?

I give some support for failed builds, but what I can do remotely is limited. Email just isn’t the right tool for the job when troubleshooting. It’s of vital importance that you do have some common sense and logical reasoning skills when attempting to DIY synths or it will be a very frustrating and difficult process. But even with good intentions and the necessary skills, sometimes it just doesn't work out. If all fails, for 50€ I offer a happy ending, send it to me and I’ll fix whatever is wrong and return you a working and tested module.

My order was incomplete.

A lot of people doubt this, but I am only human. Occasionally I do make mistakes and sometimes that can even happen when packing orders or composing kits ( it’s no small task to keep track of all components that go into a kit ). If you happen to receive a kit that’s missing components, or an order that's faulty or incomplete, let me know. We'll work out a solution and I'll do my best to make you a happy customer.

Damn, that product I wanted is out of stock.

I strive to keep my stock levels up, but yeah, sometimes that doesn’t work out and the stock indicated on the website doesn't reflect reality. If you want to order something that’s currently not in stock, you can drop me a mail and I get back to you, or you can just order it and it gets shipped to you as soon as possible.

Why don't you reply?

Please have some patience or/and send me a mail, or/and a reminder. I prefer mails as it’s easier to keep track of then the dozen or so direct messaging systems that are around by which people send me messages. It really does get confusing. I’m not making a living from S&C so I still have a day-job and *gasp* even a social life, and honestly, sometimes I don’t feel like replying directly. As a result, my time and motivation to answer mails can sometimes be limited, give me a week or 2 for non urgent matters and don’t panic, you have not been ignored. If you don’t hear from me in that time, send me a reminder.

Can I get Ki-Cad/Gerber/... files?

No.

I want to distribute your modules, is that possible?

That's certainly possible. Send me a mail so we get in touch and work out conditions.

I'm an influencer, can you send me free stuff?

We all know most Youtube reviews are basically paid for and I'm not a fan of misleading my customers that way. Nevertheless, if you feel your channel/audience and my brand would be a good match, feel free to contact me. Maybe we can work something out that works for the both of us and doesn't make me feel like I'm lying to my customers.

Do you make music?

Yes I do, you can find it on Spotify, Apple Music, ... under the band name Inocybe.
